Welcome to your friday fact fest! I hope y’all had a great week! I finally finished up the Halloween decorating. It’s crazy how much decorations I’ve accumulated over the years! Instead of getting everything complete in one day, it has now started spanning over THREE days! I do have quite a bit of stuff going on though, so I guess that is normal. It’s almost here! Are you ready for Halloween??
Ok, ok, back to the task at hand:
- A friend of mine had a stroke a few years ago, at a very young age. He is very lucky to be alive, and has nearly regained all motor skills on the left side of his body! It was quite a scary time for his family, and all of his friends. This article states that tomatoes may reduce the risk of a stroke because of their lycopene content. If we can reduce the number of strokes, I’m all for it!
- Sara Wilson takes a different approach to exercise, which keeps the head clear. Sign me up!
- Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with hypothyroid disorder. I was one in 13 Americans who are are diagnosed with some type of thyroid disorder. Kimberly Snyder gives you the facts, and also outlines how you can naturally support your thyroid. I’m definitely going to put some of these tips to good use!
- Have a sick caffeine habit? Looking to kick it to the curb? Lindsay Jones talks about how he quit caffeine and didn’t die in the process. Beautifully written, and SO INFORMATIVE!
This weekend is the hubs birthday. We’re going to chill with friends at a blues show. (Shocking, I know… considering our metallic blood) Blues Bands, dive bars, gastropubs, beaches, fall weather… Nothing could make me happier! Are you all enjoying this cooler weather?? What’s it like in your neck of the woods??
