Here we are again, at the cusp of a New Year! Isn’t it so exciting? I love the idea of a fresh start after the decadence of the holidays & tired routines we’ve gotten into. Now is the time to shake things up, and start (or try to start) some new routines and habits. I’m definitely of the school of thought that you shouldn’t wait until the new year to start a better habit, but that doesn’t mean we can abandon New Year’s resolutions entirely either! We can have our New Year’s resolutions and resolutions throughout the year too. That was the driving force behind The Resolution Files, where I feature healthy recipes throughout the year. Even though it petered out towards the end of the year, I did a little revival not too long ago, and I hope to continue the series with fervor in the coming months!
It’s also nice to reflect at the end of the year, to see what we’ve accomplished. It’s so easy to keep our nose at the grind-stone, and not realize how refreshing it is to come up for a breath of fresh air and review all the awesome stuff we’ve done! With that in mind, I thought it would be nice to have a little re-cap of the recipes you loved most in 2015 here at The Devil Wears Parsley. Before we start, I want to say Thank You. Thank you for sticking around, and not only reading my posts, but also making my recipes in your own homes. I can’t tell you how much it warms my heart to hear that you have made a recipe I created. That is the reason I do this. I want to share my table with you, virtual or otherwise, and when you make the recipes, we have a connection. When you tell me about it, the connection is complete, and it’s freakin’ AWESOME! So, without further ado…
15. Classic Caesar Salad
This one was from the resolution files! YES!
14. Honey Chipotle Lime Chicken with Black Eyed Peas
This one is perfect for the new year. You have your lucky black eyed peas, and sweet & spicy chicken!
13. Arrogant Bastard Ale Slider Buns
Making bread isn’t hard, it just requires a lot of waiting. That’s it! Fresh baked bread straight from your oven is awesome, but don’t take my word for it.
12. Raining Bloody Mary
This was my second video ever, and SO FUN to make! I can’t wait to make more of these… Both videos, and bloody mary’s!
11. How To Roast Your Own Peppers
This video won out over the Bloody Mary video just by a smidgeon! This was my first video, so I suppose it’s appropriate.
10. Spicy Potato Soup with Kale and Sausage
Soups are awesome; this one is no exception.
9. Tequila Lime Chicken Burger
Insipred by the Tequila Lime Chicken dishes of your favorite restaurants. It’s spectacular in burger form!
8. Greek Wraps With Beer Marinated Chicken
The first in the Resolution Files series. Who says you can’t have beer and be healthy too?
7. The Ultimate Super Bowl Porter BBQ Sliders
The secret is minimal toppings, and awesome sauce. Literally!
6. Hatch Chile Chicken Breakfast Sausage
Finding ways to incorporate hatch chiles into your meals is the fun part. I can’t wait until late August – that’s when hatch chile season starts. Are you ready?
5. Parsley Chestnut Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette
This recipe was SUPER popular! Herbs can be used as a major base to a salad. Combined with crunchy celery and unique chestnuts, and you’ve got yourself a super healthy meal.
4. Enchilada Breakfast Pizza
It’s clear that you like spice. I’ll be creating more spicy recipes in 2016, but in the mean time, check out my buddy’s Hot Sauce Expo!
3. Strawberry Galette
There are few things I can think of that are more satisfying that a cup ‘o joe and this beautiful and simple yet absolutely delicious galette.
2. Spicy Raspberry Double Decker Torte
You guys love your cookies, that’s for sure. This was a spin off the classic, and so very tasty.
1. Sugar Cookies with Habañero Peppermint Frosting
Again, with the spice! The most recent recipe post is your #1 favorite, isn’t that something? Delightful!
Thank you so much again for a wonderful year. I hope you enjoyed it, and hope to see much more of you in the new year! Cheers, my friends!
